The Chinese Medicine has over 4000 years history, and there are thousands of books been written or published, which books are worth of reading?
Most books we can see right now are published in recent 50 years, compare to the thousands year history, these books are significant couldn’t represent the whole scene of Chinese Medicine. Unfortunately they are shrink the contents about every century, because when somebody wrote a book trying to explain the Chinese Medicine, he deleted something he was not sure or he had something misunderstood; then when the other people saw his books or articles, the other people are being affected to a wrong direction.
So we should go back to research the classical texts and see how they said originally. In the past years, there were a lot of classical texts lost or damaged, and only a few of them exists. They are:
- Huang Di Nei Jing, or The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, which has 2 Volumes, Su Wen and Ling Shu.
- The Eighty-one Difficult (Nan Jing)
- ShangHan Lun
- Shennong’s Materia Medica
There are also some philosophy books that related to these texts, because Chinese Medicine are coming from the ancient cosmology. It’s described in Foundation text of Chinese Medicine.
